AI Transparency
Last updated:
Movello uses artificial intelligence to make immigration applications faster and more reliable. Because these applications matter so much to the people making them, we want to be completely clear about what our AI does, what it does not do, and who is responsible for the result. This statement reflects Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (Artificial Intelligence Act) and Article 22 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
1. Our principle
AI assists people. People decide.
No decision that affects you — whether you are eligible for a programme, whether your file is ready, whether an application is submitted — is ever taken by an AI system alone. Every case is reviewed by a qualified person, and every application is reviewed by an independent lawyer before it is submitted. The decision on your application is taken by the competent public authority.
2. What our AI does
Task | What the AI does | Who checks it |
|---|---|---|
Reading documents | Extracts information from the documents you upload — for example, the expiry date of a passport | Our team, and you, in your account |
Checking documents | Flags documents that appear incomplete, expired, inconsistent with each other, or missing the legalisation or translation the authority requires | Our team and your lawyer |
Organising your case | Helps assemble the requirements for your application and track your deadlines | Our team |
Assisting communications | May help draft messages and summaries | A person, before they reach you |
3. What our AI does not do
It does not give legal advice. Legal advice comes only from your lawyer.
It does not decide your eligibility, approve your file or submit your application.
It does not take any decision with legal or similarly significant effects on you by automated means (Article 22 GDPR).
It does not use the content of your case to profile you for marketing.
Your documents are not used to train third-party AI models. [⚠ Confirm against each provider's terms.]
4. When you are interacting with AI
Under Article 50 of the AI Act, which applies from 2 August 2026, we tell you whenever you are interacting directly with an AI system — for example, an assistant that answers your questions — unless it is obvious from the context. Content generated by AI is labelled where the Act requires it.
5. Eligibility indications
The eligibility check on our website gives an orientation about which programmes may suit you, based on your answers. It is not a determination of your eligibility, it is not legal advice, and it does not take into account everything an authority will consider. Your lawyer confirms the right route for your situation.
6. Accountability
We apply to our AI-assisted processes the safeguards that the AI Act requires of the most demanding uses: human oversight of every case, records of what the system did and which version did it, quality checks on its outputs, and training for the people who use it. Our providers of AI services act under contracts that protect your data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Your rights
You can:
ask for an explanation of any AI-assisted result that concerns you;
ask for any such result to be reviewed by a person;
challenge an output you believe is wrong.
